What? I have a blog???

So I just remembered that I have a blog.....

A lot has happened since July!  That was a whole..1, 2...6 months ago (and yes, I just counted it out on my fingers. sorry it's been a long day)

The boys and their "beautiful princess" made it to their breaking point and called on America's Supernanny!  And she answered...pearls and all!   I will give a whole behind the scenes account of it AFTER it airs.

But a couple of teasers...I'm pretty sure it will be involve some yelling, crying, locked doors, calm down corners, crowns and bees....ohhh, doesn't it sound intriguing....I know you want to watch it.

Please note...they take 7 days of footage and cram it into 44 minutes of TV...so I'm sure they will put in the best of the worst.  I know I will be watching and judging it myself (...like I always do watching Supernanny...)

"OMG - look at that family.. the kids are wild animals....the house is a mess...what's with those parents...the dad is horrible...and the mom...the mom...she is a beautiful princess."

It will air Janaury 31 on Lifetime.

They call me beautiful princess....

My four boys (ages 8, 5, 5, 2) have learned one thing in their short lives.  If they want to get on my good side they will call me "beautiful princess."

It started one cold winter night when I was making supper and they were all trying to use my body as a sheild from each others attacks and I just had enough.  I pulled out a plastic crown (that just happened to be in my cupboard) and made a new rule:

NO ONE in the kitchen when I have my crown on! !

And then came another rule:

And when I'm wearing my crown, you will call me "Beautiful Princess"!!

And for some odd reason, it worked.

Since that cold winter's night I have purchased myself a couple more plastic crowns and Santa even brought me one this year!  It's to the point now when I'm making supper and don't have my crown on the boys will notice and say "Mom, don't forget your crown."

One of these days they will probably realize that not all moms wear crowns in the kitchen. Or that not all moms want to be called beautiful princess.  But in our house, with four boys, plus a husband it's my one "girly" thing that I can get away with!  (....well that and I also ordered a Royal Wedding Ring, but we will save that for next time.)
